This glossary offers easy-to-understand explanations and translates technical terms used in the printing and media industries. For greater clarity some of the terms have graphic or animated illustrations.

How to use:
You can refine the search by selecting a subject from the list of topics. Then enter all or part of the term you are looking for. The technical terms in the glossary are displayed under entries. Confirm the marked entry by clicking on it with your mouse or pressing the return key. The English equivalent is displayed next to the German term. For a printer-friendly format, click on the print text icon below the text. The PDF download button allows you to download the text with its illustrations and graphs. The media available for each technical term are shown in the entries field. You can also search for English terms by selecting the English language in the top right-hand corner.
